Sorry, but Golovkin is a lightweight NoBody, relatively

In his impressive career Carl Froch has faced the absolute top shelf of competition.

    -Andre Dirrell
    -Jermain Taylor
    -Jean Pascal
    -Glen Johnson
    -Andre Ward
    -Arthur Abrabam
    -Mikkel Kessler

and he called out Joe Calzaghe but poor Joe ducked him.

So who is this Gennady Golovkin who has recently faced yet another nobody in David Lumieux in his first PPV event that failed miserably because no one wants to pay good money to watch two b-level fighters engage?

When will Little g dare to face the same top level opponents that Carl Froch and Andre Ward have made their careers in facing?

Little g is so busy ducking top opponents like Lara, BHOP, and Ward while lamely calling out fights he doesn't deserve with Froch and Mayweather that he ignores the fact that he has yet to face the MW best champions and contenders such as Peter Quillin, Andy Lee, Daniel Jacobs, or even Sam Soliman.
I thought his goal was to clean out the division and claim undisputed status, but how can he accomplish this by only fighting the bottom of the barrel competition?

Until GiGi starts fighting top level opponents he will remain a nobody in the sport and remain more hype than substance. :yep

So you're saying he needs to fight better opponents yet when he wants Froch you say he doesn't deserve it and should fight Sam Soliman instead?
    Okay :huh

Froch's resume is outstanding. Not sure how it relates to GGG though.

See title. It's all relative, but isn't that what boxing's all about? :smoke

You know exactly what I mean which is why you selected the least of the list. But isn't that Golovkin's problem; Also choosing the least versus the best. :yep

His resume can't stack up, of course, but his only options are to keep stalking the other relevant MWs, or move up. He's still stalking. Time is ticking away on that option, but it hasn't reached crisis mode yet.

In the US GGG is every bit the star that Frochy is. You wouldn't see Froch headlining PPVs. Just saying.

I think Frochs resume is good. not outstanding but good. the only top SMWs I see on that list are faded Kessler and Ward but Bute should be on there also as a top SMW. I am not sure how it relates to GGG either?
I would like to see GGG against Quillin and would think Quillin could be a good match up, as I feel Quillin could possibly be alot better than many think

Actually, I don't see Golovkin "stalking" anyone other than the fights he doesn't deserve. Rather, I see him ducking the fights that would add some credibility to his weak resume and as quiet as a mouse in calling out Quillin or Lee. Both are not as impressive as Ward, Lara or Hopkins, but still better than anyone Golovkin has faced.

Quillin and Lee might even be better challenges for GGG than Cotto/Canelo.

i agree slightly but he has fought some fighters to claim a title/belt, any fighter will take that route. its not until he runs out of belts at his weight that he will need to justify it more. names like milton nunez, lajuan simon, marco rubio (people will recognize this name) and david lemieux (people will recognise the name but was not the best champion) should not be difficult for golovkin to defeat. Im not a big golovkin fan but we will see how he progresses. he needs to make it quick tho

Quillin and Lee are clearly the best in the division, so why is Golovkin busy chasing fights he has no chance of making like Froch and Mayweather?

I left Bute off the list because IMHO he is not and has never been a top elite but a pretender who enjoyed the same type of undeserved hype as Golovkin is now enjoying.
