Just before one of the most important fights of his career, he says that he has nothing to prove:

    allhiphop.com/2015/11/09/miguel-cotto-on-canelo-i-have-nothing-to-prove/?

Nothing to prove even though he lost all his big fights except the one against crippled Martinez and haven't achieved much above WW or in the last 6 years ???

Doesn't seem to be the right morale before such an important fight.

He has nothing to prove to all the same type of idiots who think Mayweather has zero legacy without fighting Golovkin.

Boxing is full of legends who lost to fighters they shouldn't have.

Are there legends with no serious achievements between ages 29 and 35 ?

OK, Trout was one of examples. Is there a legend who didn't achieve much between ages of 29 and 35 ?

He said it's going to be one of the most important wins of his career. He's already had a HOF career. Cotto doesn't say much don't try and make some big thing out of it.
