i just hope he and his team have done there homework, got in some top sparring and worked hard on his defence and come up with a good game plan. i'd love to see him pounce on klitschko from the off and try to take him out early and if he comes up short then **** it and pull out early claiming an injury. There's no point taking a beating for 12 only to see klitschko's hand raised at the end. I just hope this fight lives up to something great but I have a horrible feeling it will be the same boring old hug fest with klitschko landing just enough each round and fury struggling to land anything.
With both their sizes you can pretty much expect there won't be much hugging because it serves no purpose for either one. I think Fury's best and only chance is to go all out from the start with a all or nothing attitude. Forget about jabbing from the outside due to his reach advantage because it just won't work against Wlad (my opinion). Fight like Pulev and hope to get lucky, no matter how crazy and foolish that might sound.
I agree mate, we need fury to be like danny Williams early on sprinting to the other corner come the 1st bell and jump on him. Not many have tried this game plan, I always thought chisora would've gone for it against klitschko before that fight fell through
It just seems that everyone's plans go out the window the second that first piston jab lands flush. Pity cos I agree with the plan of rushing him but you need speed and lots and lots of head and body movement or its bye bye title.
Tyson will outbox wlad from the outside i reckon, constant jabs flicking out rushing in to the body and work inside too and then repeat. I think tyson stops him for all his detractors i dont think another hw that has better A- punch variation B- stamina C- body shots D- belief E- inside work All very important in beating Wlad in my opinion and fury has all. He stops him for me
I'd struggle to think of many fighters with worse inside work than Wlad. He doesn't really work the body either. But outboxing Wlad from the outside? Not a chance. Fury hasn't fought someone who is even half the boxer Wlad is. Agree with the others here, his best chance is to go for broke and hope to land a big shot. He doesn't really have much in the way of power so it'll have to be a sweet shot
I can see wlad landing that big left hook at some point and I can't see Tyson coming through it but Fury will have his moments
Agreed that he has Wlad has zero inside work. In saying that, it's very hard to work on the inside against him as he is the master of grabbing and holding, and you know that in Germany he isn't going to face the wrath of the referee or any points deducted. Fury will box at range, make Wlad look like a novice, but get robbed by the judges.
This plan of fury going to knockout wlad is just a ruse, 100% tyson trys to outbox wlad. When tyson is switched on he'll be very hard to outbox, Wlad or not
But furys defence has been God awful in the past! Will we really see him with a high guard for once? Very doubtful and fury is there to be hit, in the past smaller men have loaded up humdingers and had them wheelbarrow in and still landed flush on furys chin so klitschko will land at will I believe
Peter Fury is a very shrewd man indeed and he will have a strong gameplan. Its gonna be very interesting to see how they approach it. I personally give Tyson a very big chance and can see him stopping Wlad late on.
Tyson banging on about God and the Devil is worrying: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/bo...t-Wladimir-Klitschko-world-heavyweight-title-
Absolutely right and it was the only way Haye could have beat him as well but David did not seem to realise that and I think the camp thought they could devise some sort of special plan (before the toe of course) Fury needs to go at Wlad and attempt to simply overwhelm him early doors, I agree that most will laugh but I don't think he gets a decision in Germany I also don't think he can go 12 because during the fight Wlad will land a total of at least half a dozen clean right hands and I am not sure Tyson can take them all. I don't think it will be long before Wlad is beaten, for me he is showing signs of ageing and I thought he was back to going through the motions against Jennings. Tyson needs to "lose the plot" from first bell, he can win this fight if he jumps on him for me, of course he could walk onto something but as you say why wait until the 8th to walk onto it.
