Exactly, im travelling from N.Ireland to see the fight and hes saying he should pull out with injury if he doesnt blow the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World (for the last ten years) away inside 4 rounds?

Fury has dreamed about this fight all his life, what would it say about him as a man if he faked an injury when the fight started to go against him?

Tyson Fury is a traveller, fighting is in his blood, he will keep going aslong as he can stand

That's basically how i see it as well, stay out of mid range which is where Wlads speed will be most dangerous. Fury can mix it up from the outside with a bit of switching, but the key will be to utilize his size and to clinch the **** out of Wlad, hit and hold style. Use his size to wear him down.

Wlad has stamina issues and Fury needs to take advantage of it. Fury is the stronger man and he also has the physical advantage of height which means he should have greater leverage to lean on Wlad draining his energy. Fury has an excellent big man inside game, he actually hits harder from a shorter distance then he does from the outside imo. He seem's to sit down on his punches better inside and he kind of arm punches from range. Wlad hardly even throws punches inside he just clinches and waits for the ref to break it up.

I see the fight as being 80-20 in Wlads favour atm, Fury gets a bit ****y at times and gets hit too easily. Wlad hits like a truck and not many can take his bombs for a decent length of time.

If Fury can dominate the clinch i reckon it's more like 50-50, and thats the big issue because Wlads biggest strength these days is using his clinching game for defense and stifling his opponents offense. If Fury is able to keep his arms free and throw in the clinch as well as lean on Wlad, then he has a massive chance to win.

 

The only chance Fury has is if he can get Wlad hard and early. And create a Saunders style melt down.

For that he would need to be quicker footed and look to land flush early.
The earlier or goes on at Wlads pace the easier it gets for Wlad

 

Despite Tyson's size and clear boxing ability I would be shocked if he doesn't get brutally knocked out. Looking at his record, he's only really effective against MUCH smaller men (Like Chisora, Cunningham) even against Cunningham he got knocked down badly.
His issue is no doubt he's never faced someone of Wlad's athletic ability, facing the likes of Joey Abell, Christian Hammer, Maddalone, Rogan, etc in no way really prepares you for Vlad.

I expect we all believe he will do well because of his size - but there's a reason they've kept him away from decent big heavyweights because when it comes down to it, he'll lose his nerve in a firefight with someone who has equal or similar height.

We all want Vlad's long reign to end here, but it won't, Joshua will have a MUCH better chance than Fury in a year's time.

 

Yeah, Fury should have fought Ustinov, Thompson and Price.
Of course, the question remains would he have won those fights, and the doubt explains why he never took them. But to prepare himself for Wlad it would have made sense to go in with those boxers. (not that any of them are anyway near Wlad in ability).
