Well, he is a bottom level top ten type. Could be an interesting match. Glazkov is durable, he just does not hit very hard and has had some close calls.

A big step up for Wilder.

No I actually watch boxing and take in what I see..... If you can't see obvious mental issues that plague Glazkov then I don't know what to tell you, YDSAB.... Fundamentally he's very sound, does everything well... But he does just enough to win every big fight he's in, from Rossy to Adamek and Cunningham. There's a pretty big gap in quality from Rossy to even a shot Adamek and Cunningham. The fact that he does just enough to win, or should I say "not to lose" in all of his big fights should tell you he has an issue, and it's not just down to him not being very good. Even if he didn't have these problems he might not be a top HW, but some of these fights would have definitely been easier.

I'm pleasantly surprised, Glazkov ain't great and Wilder should win but I was expecting someone FAR worse..

Sure. It just should have happened before Molina and Duhaupas  It's pretty clear that Wilder and his team view Glazkov as easy pickings due to his lack of power, and close calls with Scott, Cunningham, and Rossy.

Uhh yeah no. Just because I picked Duhaupas when he was an 8/1 underdog against Charr, and suggested CST do a thread on him doesn't mean I was "high on him". Likewise with Glazkov I've pointed out his issues since the Scott fight.

Oh yeah. I suppose you could call him solid, I just find him almost indescribably boring. I love aggressive action fighters, I can appreciate slicksters, even some runners if they have a modicum of talent... and then there's Czar.

If I were a Christian, my vision of Purgatory would be Glazkov fights on an endless loop.

Do not understand why everybody thinks Glazkov sucks. He is 31 years old and has a record of 21-0-1 with wins over Adamek and Cunningham. This is a good match up. If Deontay can knock Glazkov out that should silence some of Wilder's many critics. A victory will do the job but an impressive knock out against the undefeated Ukranian would show Wilder is quite capable. I think Wilder is better than all his critics are giving him credit for.
