Selling matters now. It didn't when Floyd was the ppv king. Now that Floyd is done, 97k is the new King of the ppv numbers, lmao.

    Who gives a ****?

Fact is - Both him and GGG made 2 million in their last outing. They are both earning similar dollars.

No matter who the fight is. I think the days of 1 million PPV's sold are long over. Even Cotto vs Canelo will do less than 800K I think. But which ever fighter win his promoter will claim $1.5 million PPV sold.

If Golovkin's opponents were being paid Paul Smith purses he would be making $6 million per fight. Golovkin's opponents are paid well and get suites in 5 star hotels. Ward's are thrown some bread crumbs and have to sleep in the Oakland Airport terminal!

Sure, if it had 4000 seats and was in Oakland. And wasn't on same time as a Giants game (baseball OR NFL)

I never cared about ppv's. PPV's are now used when it comes to the fighter that you like. Now GG sells and he's being compared to an inactive Ward, and that's enough reason for GG's fanatics to say that GG deserves more than Ward, GG doesn't need Ward etc etc.

I'm going to tell you guys this for the last time. You cant get an accurate number on how many seats Ward sells at Oracle Arena. They give out a lot of free tickets a few hours before the fight and up until the card starts. I was there for the Kessler fight and saw it with my own eyes. A friend of mine and his 3 acquaintance went to the Paul Smith fight and got 3 free tickets after paying for 1.

Ward hasn't fought in God knows how long, but he has been in a few high profile fights. Since when did fans really start talking about him being boring? First it was that he fought dirty, then he asks for too much money and won't leave Cali, and now it's he isn't a draw. The latter being when GG hit the scene. The good thing about all of this is that GG can't bring flies to **** either I guess.

90% of sources ,including reliable sources reported him selling "just over 150k" . Where did you get your 97k number ? Your source must be Nay_Sayer or shockmaster , maybe el chicano?
