Wlad has only been the best heavyweight for two years since Vitali retired. He hasnt domnated for over 10 years because there was another champion. He hasnt cleared out the division because big brother helped.

 

Fury also lacks big power, so this continues to bode well for ol' Wladdy!

If you can name one up-coming challenger, a serious thread that was beaten by Vitali and Wlad chose to pass over during Wlad's reign, then you might have a point.

#2. Look at the KO rates of Fury's opponents. He was put down by a guy with a 27% KO rate and by a guy with a sub 50% KO rate and ZERO KO's at Heavyweight. Fury's Chin is awful.

Fury is really nothing special, and Wlad will prove it.

 

Though I favor Wlad to win by knockout, Fury getting sold as a light hitter is a bit misleading.

It's pretty clear he sacrifices power for workrate and handspeed, which is also why he can throw punches for a full 12 rounds. His style makes him look like less of a puncher than he actually could be.

 

Wlad used to spar with Vitali who is 6'8 and 250 lbs.

Vitali hits harder than Fury.

Wlad knows how to take punches from someone with those types of dimensions.
