I kind of agree with you. I do think Cotto has been in some serious beatings (e.g - Margarito, Pac). Canelo was in a back and forth brutal fight with Kirkland. Canelo wins this via decision for me.

cotto is obviously closer to the end than the beginning. that being said, he is still a top flight fighter. if canelo beats him, he will have earned it.
