Whenever worst boxers ever are mentioned he is invariable up there, with 31 fights, 31 losses and never got past round 2 :rofl

Someone must have seen him? Firstly, how does such a perenial loser continue to be allowed a license? And secondly, for anyone who saw him, what made him so atrocious?

The more time goes on, the more I'm convinced that he has to be some sort of myth or a pseudonym of another boxer who was "Eric Crumble" when a good crumble was what was needed.

If he was real, on the bright side, his brain is probably fresh as a daisy. It's not exactly like he was going all blood and guts in those fights and absorbing punishment round after round.

It's weird, you'd think someone must have seen him. There's literally no information about the man.

Crumble did fight out of the James Holly gym, so being an alias would not surprise me.

Holly was infamous for his Ohio gym housing many of the no-name opponents that came to lose.

Holly, himself, fought under different aliases, James Robinson, Virgil Holly, and there was reports he use other names.

Guys like Crumble would literally drive thousands of miles, arrive at the arena right before their fight, get in the ring, lose and leave...on to the next fight.

Bruce "The Mouse" Strauss once fought on back to back days, and twice on the same card, once using an alias claiming to be "The Moose", The Mouse's twin brother...!!!

Good grief, thanks for providing some insight on that :good

For those curious, James had an illustrious career too, marred by only a few wins. http://boxrec.com/boxer/4914http://boxrec.com/boxer/4914

Looking at Bonecrusher Crumble's record on boxrec I noticed he actually fought a couple decent level opponent in the shape of Angel Manfredy and Ralph Jones. The latter being more interesting since he was 29-1 at that point, so why the **** would he be fighting the biggest bum that ever existed at that point in his career? After the Crumble fight, Jones fought Ike Quartey - hardly a good preperation, is it? :rofl

Seems to just be a pseudonym used by a huckster promoter to come in, lose to a prospect and fill out a card. I'd say several people fought under the 'Eric Crumble' name. Why pay for some Latvian to come in and take a knee after a round when you can pay the toilet cleaner $50 to come in and go down with the first punch.

Never thought about this, but it does make sense.
From another forum, look at these weight flunctuations:

    1990-06-22 -151 lbs.
    1993-09-03 -136
    1994-07-25 -153
    1996-11-29 -159
    1997-02-19 -142
    1997-05-06 -152
    1997-06-27 -131
    1998-03-26 -152
    1999-10-29 -168
    1999-12-14 -155

Definitly looks like a fake guy or multiple guys that fill up the fake boxer on paper that comes in to boost up the record.

Good news: footage of him has finally emerged!

This vid was apparently uploaded by the nephew of the guy Crumble is, well, crumbling against here. At the 1:02 mark, you can hear the announcer say, "From Milwaukee, Wisconsin ... Eric Crumble."

Crumble footage? Wow, one of boxing's Holy Grails has been located. What's next, some films of Harry Greb??
