I thought Rousey was a LOT of hype. I thought she was limited besides her Judo and was really curious to see how she'd cope with a slippery fighter with boxing experience, let alone a previous champion in the sport. Well, guess my questions were answered.

Rousey was dominated. It looked like she went in the first minute to show she could outbox and world class boxer. It didn't look as if Rousey knew how to box. She had zero head movement, kept her hands low, and kept rushing into Holms in straight lines. I mean, come on? She basically handed herself to Holms like dinner on a silver platter. That's a feast for a boxing champion.

After I saw Holm handle herself so intelligently in Ronda's attempt at the armbar, I knew it was over. Ronda can't box, so from the start her only hope was forcing a submission. After the first grapple failed, it was over. Rousey started getting busted up, exhausted, frustrated, which only caused her to rush to Holm even more.... and in full circle caused her to get painted with punches and kicks even worse.

Holm made "the best fighter of possibly all time" look C grade. Completely dominated. My favorite part was when Holm flipped the script and threw Ronda on the ground. Once that happened, it was clear Holm had all the confidence in the world.

There's a difference to being an ATG receiving hype and just being hype.

Dana White is probably crying. Who can he ride the sport off of now?

I love that that s*** sport got exposed tonight, first a pro wrestler in Lesnar goes in and dominates and becomes Champion, until his guts started rotting out and had to hang em up, and now a pro boxer f***s up their number one cash cow.:rofl That's ****ing beautiful.

How epic would it be if Holm dumped the UFC belt, denied Rousey her rematch and instead returned to boxing for that Braekhus showdown? :shock:

I legitimately feel so much second hand happiness for her. I know it's ****ed to compare her to Foreman, but honestly, Holm will now go down as someone who pulled off one of the greatest sports in prize fighting history. Just like Ali, Buster Douglas, Braddock, Tunney. She pulled off an amazing upset that won't be forgotten ever by her.

She will be smiling for at least a month, knowing she proved the world wrong.

Yeah, they definitely should have supported their own girl. I can see why they did what they did though. Business is business. Ronda is selling right now. Well, maybe not as much anymore.
