In fairness to RING, it initially started out as a magazine that covered boxing and wrestling, so framed within that context, putting Rousey on the cover was perhaps their way of "returning to their roots". That said, Holm would certainly have been a much better choice to feature as someone who could "save boxing". :lol While Holm certainly utilized a variety of skills to defeat Rousey, I think her lateral movement and left hand counter (two staples of her boxing style) provided the foundation upon which the remainder of her attack could be built. I've always wanted to see how a world class boxer with good lateral movement would fare in MMA...I now have my answer.
Beautiful straight lefts by Holm, nice lateral movement, she made Ronda look like a fool. This is what a proper athlete looks like, before that Ronda only faced playboy girls and UFC wannabes.
"I don't think Rousey has been hit hard enough to throw her off her game," Holly Holm Holly made Ronda look C-grade.
I had holly at 33-1 to stop her in round two 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
guess she can go to gennady for a shoulder to cry on feel sorry for her in a way. she was just a pawn, embarrassingly overhyped and shoved down our throats, but it wasnt her doing pawnda
Holly kept Ronda off balance and made her pay for every mistake. Ronda needs to get a real boxing coach on her team cause her hands were down all night and she kept standing straight up. I also have to give credit to Holly's kickboxing game, since those kicks to the thigh took a lot of steam out of Ronda.
Rousey's stand she was wide open for straight left even an elbow down the middle.Gurll keep ya arms up catch those shots, block it not with your face ffs look how wide her guard is.
Woke up with the biggest smile on my face today. My background pic on my phone is one of Rousey slumped on the floor Hahahaha was so sweet. I've seen it at least 5 times now.
