Who also became a Mayor. The one and only Vitali Klitschko.

I think boxing fans are going a bit overboard with the MMA bashing. The 2 sports are close siblings and I think we can learn to appreciate both sports. To be honest, I'm even more excited for Aldo/McGregor than I am for Cotto/Alvarez.

Vitali never did MMA. Kickboxing is completely different.

MMA hw is mostly kick boxing that ends in a punch or kick, takedowns use up too much energy and rarely work anyway. Vitali would have murdered Werdum lets be honest.

Werdum is one of the very few MMA guys I can respect. Vitali would beat Werdum under K1 rules but it would still be semi competitive. In Muay Thai or MMA rules Werdum would train wreck Vitali. Werdum would use the clinch to his advantage and hurt Vitali really bad with knees and elbows. In MMA Werdum can utilize his expertise which is Brazilian Jujutsu.

It would be far more interesting to see Alistair Overeem in his prime against Vitali in a K1 fight. The issue is Alistair has a glass jaw but at the same time his kick boxing skills alone are aeons ahead of Vitali.
