The kick wasn't brutal even for female mma standards. For male mma standards, that kick was nothing. Rousey was just already almost out, that was the finisher. What was brutal was the nice left hand that set that up. And the tens of similar shots Holms landed before that one. Rousey was stunned and wobbly legged already after the first ones in the first round. She looked like a drunk bar fighter for 90% of the time
It had more to do with her having a *****. With all the hype of the world nobody would claim McGregor could do to Froch Tyson and Golovkin what that ***** was supposed to do. and McGregor could ko Rousy with jabs.
It's just me who thinks Rousey lasted that much just because Holm is featherfisted? Holm landed a lot of clean shots but Ronda kept eating them like fried chicken for some time. I noticed Holm had a Malignaggi-like Ko ratio as a boxer so maybe she is just not that powerful.
I remember when this fight happened.....ref was waiting until Holm was near death, then actually starting counting while she was unconscious on the canvas.....hopefully he never ref'ed again, but he probably did.
She was made to look like a complete amateur, I think in the past she has won the fight 95% on intimidation factor. She became arrogant and big headed, This will be an extremely tough loss to take. I don't get any joy watching somebody loose in spectacular fashion or find joy in watching another human get mocked and laughed at while their down. Im just interested to see how she comes back, How you bounce back is what determines how great you truly are.
