Wow, Laila Ali : Real champs don't get beat like that in their prime

I get what she is saying but Laila needs to stfu, she ducked all the tough challenges in her career, especially Ann Wolfe.

 

I am just fuming I didn't buy it. I was up at 11pm and thought about it and just figured itll prob be like the rest. Don't know how many times I've purchased PPVs just to see someone I didn't like lose lol. I should have done more research on Holm and think I would have had atleast an idea that may have happened. I knew she was special in 2 other fighting sports, and a big, strong girl, but bought all the "she's too green for MMA" talk. But when you actually think about it, the girl was a world champ in boxing and kick boxing, 2 major fighting sports, only wrestling and grappling could be her downfalls but obviously puts alot of focus on those to complete herself, so really this chick is going to be very tough to beat.

I can't get into women combat sports. I don't like to see women get beat up, even the ones like Rousey who are very masculine looking. If you have ever sparred a woman before, you know the difference in movement and coordination between a trained man and a trained woman is like night and day. That's why all this talk about Rousey beating trained men fighters was ridiculous. At least we won't have to hear that nonsense any longer and maybe Rousey got a little humility beat into her.

I have only watched the gifs and videos posted on this site. I have a hard time watching two men in MMA fight let alone two women.

Different strokes for different folks. I don't fault people that like MMA, I just can't watch it. Everyone has different tastes to some extent.

laila is similar to ronda in many ways. overrated. super beach. poor athlete. built like a hippo. thinks she is the best eva.
that said cant say i know much about womens boxing tho, doesnt interest me much.

 

Ali did make one of the best tv adverts ever, I'll give her that.

 

She was claiming she could beat atg boxers, the ufc heavyweight champion, anyone on the planet in a no rules fight, etc, etc. The shank had a big attitude problem. She was either absolutely delusional or talking total rubbish. She was disrespectful to her opponents before and after the fight. Holm helped her get back in touch with reality.
