Like I said to Boxed Ears, the only cure is to keep listening. :D

Actually, I'm full of it. The song has been stuck in my head since I recorded it. But on the bright side, I no longer hear the SNV theme song in my head.

I don't know. I doubt that guy even watched the video.

I haven't heard much feedback from the Golovkin faithful, except for Doc, and I'm still not sure why he thinks Deontay Wilder would be unhappy with my video? :huh

But firmly I stand by every lyric in the song.

    Thanks, Jeff! :good

I disagree with you about the winner facing Golovkin any sooner than next November, however. Especially the way DLH is inexplicably saying Canelo isn't ready for 160 - when he should really not be talking about that at all, and should be crossing those bridges when/if he gets there.

Firstly, I think a rematch between Cotto-Canelo is likely, and I also think the possibility of a Floyd rematch for the winner may very well surface to the table. Also, I don't think it really benefits Canelo to make a serious offer at say, 155.

As for the stamina thing, we're on the same page there. Canelo paces better, and while he has large lulls of inactivity, he usually spurts fairly consistently over 12, whereas Cotto usually starts fast, and then often goes into a stand-offish boxing mode at around the halfway point, give or take, where he becomes a bit spurtful himself.

In any case, I don't think I'll have the chance to see Cotto-Canelo live, but I'm interested in seeing how it plays out and what the next move is for the winner.

That was superb. Thank you Rumsfeld. I see an earlier or recent version of Cotto beating Canelo, except in the case of a KO.

    Well done, Rummy. Funny stuff.

I too wish to see him go back in time to fight Greb, Walker, Monzon and all the middleweight greats.

Cotto is definitely the better boxer than Canelo, I agree.

For my worthless two cents (as you put it), Canelo will probably come back in the mid rds, say rds 7-10 after being down 5-1 or 4-2 in rounds and lose a close decision. Cotto SD Canelo.

Neither fight Golovkin in 2016 as they'll have a rematch. Canelo is the only one of the two that might fight Golovkin as he is the naturally bigger man. The WBC will do NO stripping in 2016, either.

Thanks for doing the video. Great way to end my work day!

Indeed, though if they can get GGG to drop to say 157 vs Canelo or something like that I think it will happen quicker. If not, then certainly I think it will be awhile before they fight. Triple G may give in because age is not on his side and he is obviously chasing the biggest money fights possible at this stage of his career.

I don't think Cotto will want a rematch. I think Canelo is going to hurt him enough in this fight he might even retire. If Floyd is in the picture to fight Canelo then of course a Triple G/Canelo fight is far away.

    Thanks! :good

I still think Cotto will have troubles after doing well earlier. We haven't seen the recent version go many rounds. It is, I guess, possible however that he could pace himself to stay in-tune with Canelo's less than stellar pace - but I still think Cotto will come out flashier at the start.

    We'll know soon enough!
