Did you see him Saturday night against a boxer who is rated 152,ihis performance was shocking,He is very average and only beating boxers who are worse than average,as i say Andy to win easy, cant believe he is evens.
Dutchie pal - thats boxing. Im surprised you dont see this. Not every fight goes the way you want it to, no matter how good you are. Sometimes you struggle. The knowledgeable fan knows and recognises this and doesnt fall into the trap of knee-jerk reactions. FWIW Nick is all wrong for Andy and would beat him up late on IMO.
your havin a laugh len, come back in december 20th and beg andy for forgiveness for not giving him the credit he deserves.
My point is that fans are far too quick to criticise a boxer who doesnt win a fight by devestating ko every time. Just recently all the following guys have been criticised for 'poor performances' : Macklin, Frampton, Blackwell etc etc. In fact there was a LOT to like in each of these guys performances - if you look at them sensibly, but stupid 'fans' couldnt wait to jump in and criticise the boxer in each case. Look what happened to Lukekiko in prizefighter: - things dont always go according to plan in life or in boxing. Sensible people can see this and dont get carried away. (Now if a guy continues to look poor in fight after fight - like ...er...for example.....yer man from Limerick....whats his name again????..thats a different story) Looking at the big picture there is no doubt in my mind that Nick Blackwell is all wrong forAndy Lee. No doubt. :thumbsup
Any interested in the fites on Friday...the bookies are making Cummings a big favourite against Meli.... I think its going to be closer than they think:good
definitely interested in Cummings. A win here and his next out could be on Frampton-quigg bill against a 'name'... Ive seen Cummings box before and he is solid and strong etc , but Id say its not impossible to outpoint him....
Anytime iv seen him he reminds me of O'Kane,Very strong and durable but as you implied can be wild and unskilled at times, I have also seen Meli he is a come forward southpaw so it will prob be an exciting but s****py affair, For me Cummings bull strength will see him through this one he may even win a british title if the right opponent is picked but ant see him doing a lot after that,For example the likes of Jason Quigley will have no bother beating him in the future id say
Competition is really stiff at 160 in the 'Irish Isles' at the mo. Impossible to predict what will happen over the next few years. We will see can CEJ seperate himself from the pack if he can get past Spike and continue to improve. BJS is there or thereabouts at world level ,and, while acknowledging his shortcomings I personally really rate Nick Blackwell..... What is yere current 'Irish Isles' top 5 at 160 lads?
The cheek of you...I educate you about boxing every second day - and now you want geography lessons too!!!!
