You're right, we will be disappointed and disgusted. But I have a feeling Canelo "155" Alvarez will rather vacate than face Golovkin. He already saw what Gennady can do when he sparred him, and he doesn't want a second helping. :deal

    :lol::rofl
You continue to believe that ****. I'm telling you it won't happen not right away atleast. You actually think the WBC will make Canelo fight GGG next after a mega fight against Cotto you're either crazy or a wishful thinker.:deal

On the step aside money to be paid to GGG, I highly doubt Cotto has to pay that now if he's not defending the title.

I voluntary defense is likely for Canelo, then GGG in September on Mexican Independence day weekend.

And BTW Shockmaster I'm not trying to say that titles mean what they once did either, with so many uber duper champs out there it's become a bit of a joke anyway but I don't want to see fighters facilitating further degradation of this with what the organizations have already accomplished in that respect, because they still serve an important function and are necessary.

You do realize that "indirectly alluding", and "having all the info" are mutually exclusive. Sort of like partially/thoroughly, and definitely/maybe. It may turn out to be 100% true. But it may not.

They're all a disgrace, the WBC, Cotto, Canelo an absolute joke.
One of the great weight divisions in the history of boxing has been insulted and disrespected by these imposters.
Then after this farce had taken place they'll run for the hills and avoid Golovkin like the plague.
Boxing is on the rocky road.

It wouldn't be funny, it'd be sad indictment of the sport...

café...regardless of how we feel about trinkets

cotto doesn't owe Gennady a fight, or never did, any more than ggg owed ward a fight....

cotto never said "ill fight any mw out there"...."im ready to fight at mw"......Sergio and the wbc allowed cotto to CHALLENGE for the belt at a cw because of who cotto is....he took the challenge and won and made a smart business move to the tune of 30 mil .....if ggg did that youd all be calling him the smartest man in boxing .....cotto never claimed to be a mw or said hed fight anyone there......

I don't hate ggg...I just don't understand all the uproar over cotto.....everyone knows ggg is the best mw out there...for him to be chasing trinkets just doesn't appeal to me....especially after he obviously wanted no part of ward

like I said...id rather be seeing cotto/Sergio and cotto/canelo all day over seeing ggg vs Johnson or heiland.....that's just the nature of the beast....

It is purely about money. Cotto didn't want to pay $300,000 and got stripped:

I highly doubt that will happen. If Canelo beats Cotto GBP won't let Canelo within 3 time zones of GGG simply too high risk too low reward for them on top of that he's all they got.:deal They will want to make some easier money fights and wait GGG out. The WBC who's a Mexican Organization want nothing more than for Canelo to have their belt they will find a way to put off the fight as well.

He owes GGG a fight more than GGG owes Ward a fight because he is a champion, it comes with the territory it doesn't matter who said what, this is just secondary personal **** from fighters.

Well, now that he's stripped, he can do whatever he wants I guess but I'm still angry over him holding this belt only until he could get his payday with Canelo whilst never having any intention whatsoever in properly defending it, it's just not right to me.

An organization like the WBC just doesn't come out and say, "Cotto isn't handing us the money, so we're stripping him!"
:lol:The way you do it is you hide behind the contention that your honorable organization has to enforce its rules and regulations for the good of the fighters and boxing.
The WBC had to sugarcoat its own greed so they dont look like the bad guys here.

If you cant see that its Cotto not paying the WBC sanctioning fees that's getting him stripped of the belt, then you're either dumb, or just dont want to see it.
