The WBC "proudly" stripped Maravilla of the belt for fighting a tougher opponent in Dzinziruk than Zbik and handed it to Zbik then onto Chavez after a match he debatably lost in against Zbik, so this is only fair.
im just saying...i think i tried to explain it earlier in the thread....but you have to think about it for a second before you go on saying cotto is stupid for throwing money away......it was done on purpose and he made money off that payment
I'm sorry but NO. The winner of Cotto Canelo is the middleweight champion regardless of the status of the WBC's worthless trinket. The lineal title cannot be stripped...
dont you dare call that wbc a worthless trinket...that thing is very important to the delusional ggg superfans! once he gets a grip on the green belt its all over!! world domination.....he will make more money than floyd and sell more ppvs once he gets his paws on it!!!!! hell have all the spoils!!!!! andy lee wont be able to say no!!! you know how many buys ggg/lee will do?!?!?! think floyd/pac!!!! you think al haymon will be able to say "ya know theres no way the winner of jacobs/quillin can not fight ggg now....ggg vs jacobs/quillin? omg i can retire off this one"
GG gets my respect in this manner. He allowed Cotto to make money. If Cotto comes up with ridiculous demands should he win, and the fight isn't made, Cotto can be called whatever you want to call him. GG loses out on beating a lineal champion, but it wouldn't be his fault.
Ok, I'll admit I only got to about page 9 before I decided to make my statement, and I hadn't tseen anything about that part of it yet..
Do you even understand what I'm saying? And I meant to say that the WBC had Cotto as it's lineal champion, not title. substitute the two words.:good Maybe this confused you which is my fault.
What if they cant come to terms? What if Team Caneloni demand 95/5 split and Team Golovkin refuse? Can Caneloni then fight someone else?
That won't be a problem. The weight will be the issue. And no he can't fight someone else. He will be stripped if he doesn't fight GG.
Nope, also already mentioned. The WBC rules for mandatory apply... if Golovkin doesn't agree with Canelo's demands but does to the WBC standard rules, Canelo has to comply or vacate. Would be something if every boxer could make up his own demands and rules, Floyd style.
