Thanks GolovKing. I think we've largely been on the same page with our views regarding much of the landscape at or around 160. A close decision either way wouldn't surprise me either - and that wouldn't surprise me whether it was a really close fight, or if it happened to be a lopsided fight with close cards. But in the event of the either, my gut tells me Canelo will get the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully we only get a close decision (SD or MD) in the event the fight actually is close. Or better yet, something more decisive.

I think my singing days are over for awhile. Although if and when I ever decide to return to song, I know exactly which one it will be. And it would be glorious, if it happened, but I don't think it's likely.

    Good vid, Rummy.

    Some levity there.

( I expect you'll be hearing from a Welsh law firm in the near future. )

I don't see this bout being as competitive you seem to think.

Canelo can end it inside the first half if he sets his mind to it.

If the Mexican lets it go past that point, I'll interpret that as more proof of a GGG duck. That is to say, I'll see a 'competitive' fight as Canelo carrying Cotto in order to build up the (ridiculous) case for a rematch, which would be a thinly veiled duck of the world's top 160 lb boxer.

I don't see Floyd taking on the winner (unless Cotto pulls off the upset).

For reasons I already explained, Floyd might wisely avoid rematching Canelo.

The in the intervening time since they fought, Canelo has gained a little, Floyd has lost a little, and the bout would have to be contested at least 3 lbs North of where they met before.

All three of the foregoing mitigate in Canelo's favour.

I'm predicting a Canelo win well inside the distance, and for him to face GGG before next summer.

    Thanks for watching, cuchulain.

I can only conclude their our outlooks are worlds apart, and I think the main difference of opinion stems from your belief that Canelo has improved more than I've seen since the Floyd fight.

Make no mistake, I think Golovkin stops both before 6, but I would be very surprised if Canelo dispatches of Cotto with the ease which you've suggested.

    We shall know soon enough!

Truth think Golovkin stops them both before 6....that's why the fight is not likely to happen.!!!!
