This was my main argument in my earlier post: Foreman's been bounced around the ring early in a fight, Tyson hasn't. Foreman won't be able to bowl Tyson over like he did against Frazier and Norton. No, at their respective bests, Tyson weighs about the same as Foreman did. His balance was excellent and his huge stumps for legs reassures this. And bigger guys like Bruno and Ruddock weren't able to push Tyson around. Tyson was in command. Saying Foreman's style isn't comparable to Bruno or Ruddock isn't really the point because these guys were actually a bit heavier than Foreman was in his prime, and Tyson wouldn't budge.

Foreman wouldn't tie Tyson up on the inside. His strategy was to push you back and set up his offense, but Tyson's tight defense won't allow Foreman to land at will. He would get stunned from single shots but has the wherewithal to evade danger, unlike Frazier or Norton who were deer in headlights. Tyson would react much better because getting hit didn't frustrate Tyson, getting hit and not being able to respond was his weakness.

Holyfield did hurt Tyson. I saw it. I thought it was generally known?

That's something most don't seem to realize.. Tyson and Foreman were about the same weight and mike was well accustomed to banging with big boys who were strong and well schooled.. He takes punches from men like Bruno, smith, ruddock and Tucker but some how is supposed to just wilt the first time foreman touches him.. But Lyle can bounce George all over the ring yet the same doesn't seen to work in reverse

Um no. Prime Tyson isn't tall enough and doesn't have the style to trouble Foreman and wouldn't be able to beat him. A lot of you act like Tyson was god, he wasn't all that impressive. He was strong, sure, and could beat some decent punchers like Frank Bruno but he definitely wouldn't be able to hold his own against a big puncher like Foreman. Sorry.

Once again, Foreman just came fresh off a two year exile, and faced a puncher who hit much harder than Tyson and had a chin around the same area.

Apparently I had you on my ignore list but for some reason it only comes up as ignored on my desk top and not on my phone.. Therefore I'll respond to you this one time only... After repeating the same nonsense over and over again, it's time someone pointed out that you are WRONG...Foreman wasn't off for "two years." He was off for about 14 months... And his opponent "Lyle" was no better off given that he had just gone through a tough schedule getting beat by both Ali and young plus nearly being decapitated by shavers.. And no sane person would ever claim that Lyle hit harder than Tyson or that his chin was sturdier.... Now F-off already....

Funnily enough Foreman was caught and hurt whilst trying to box at a distance and sensibly, this wasn't the same Foreman that was on a seek and destroy mission against Frazier.

Lyle definitely hit harder than him and I NEVER ONCE said Lyle's chin was better, they were around the same.

Ron Lyle never Ko'd a single man known for his durability.... Not one.... Tyson handed trevor Berbick one of only two stoppages in over fifty fights.. He handed Spinks his only stoppage loss ever . Likewise with homes. He scored plenty of first round Ko's over men who were generally stopped late or never stopped at all... And in many cases were ranked.. Lyle never stopped a ranked man with he possible exception of shavers who was known for his durability... And as for chin ? Tyson took the best shots from proven punchers in smith, bruno, ruddock and others.. Well Lyle did survive shavers nth he damn near got his head knocked off..

You say he took the best punches of Smith and Bruno? I don't agree with that at all tbh.

Trevor Berbick was scared ****less of Tyson. He handed Spinks his only stoppage loss because he was the only big puncher he faced and IT WAS HIS LAST FIGHT. Not to mention the fact Spinks was also scared ****less and had a knee injury. Also Holmes was ancient by the time he fought Tyson. He was only knocked out because his arm was caught on the rope. Smith, Bruno, and Ruddock were absolutely nothing compared to the men Foreman took on, such as Liston, Lyle, Frazier, need I go on. As I said, Tyson was a great fighter but he's not the God a lot of you are trying to make him out to be.

Nobodies making him out to be a "God." The only divinity that's being unduly handed out here is that which is coming from people who seem to think Foreman would just walk all over Tyson and while I agree that he COULD win it's hardly a forgone conclusion or an easy fight for that matter...

Agree or disagree... It doesn't matter. He fought them... He took their shots... And he beat them... End of story

The only real advantage I give Tyson is faster hands. He had a different kind of punching power, which was truly outstanding, but no one could match George's raw, clubbing power. I would go with Foreman in three or four. Tyson could not fight moving backward. If ever a man was stuck with one way to fight, it was Mike.
