Fury vs Wlad - Two weeks out, make your pick

Hasn't fought a single puncher and yet has been down and wobbled regularly by CW's pretending to be HW's.

 

Interesting how little discussion this fight is getting here compared to the months of hype and millions of threads that surrounded Haye's challenge to Klitschko 4 years ago.

Joshua v Whyte seems to be getting more attention, as well as Haye's next "comeback". atsch

Fury doesn't seem to have much chance, he just hasn't the experience or proven ability, but he probably has a better chance than Haye ever did.

 

I really don't think fury has as much chance as haye did, which was a punchers chance. I'd be surprised if fury goes the distance.

 

If Wlad is in destruction mode Fury Is getting splattered in under 4 easy rounds.

I expect an easy night for Wlad, but by wide UD. Going against conventional wisdom, I suspect Fury might not be so agressive and that might yield a repeat of Wlad's fight with David, generally speaking.

There is a chance though, that Fury bottles it in the ring if he gets popped a couple of times, and gets himself DQed. It wouldn't shock me at all given his bipolar and possible other disorders.

 

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he gets KO'd badly in 2 rounds, but with his size and reach and possibly an ability to frustrate Wlad there's a chance he could do something.
(Haye's puncher's chance was overrated, mostly by himself. He always had the speed and power but had never demonstrated the skill and output, and that played out during the fight.)

But Fury's real advantage over Haye is that he's facing a Wlad who is 39 1/2 years old, not 35.

Good point actually, wlad didn't look that great against Jennings, so fury could well cause him some problems if he is in any sort of decline. If the wlad from the pulev fight turns up...let's just say fury will have a nice pay cheque for champagne at his retirement party.

 

Yeah, Fury's even talked about retirement so the prospect of a beating must have crossed his mind.

I got told by someone close to his camp he peaked too early and was looking good early on, but has been really struggling with sparring
