In fact, he refuses to pay the step aside fee to Golovkin as he promised: http://www.latimes.com/sports/sport...rez-gennady-golovkin-fees-20151118-story.html A dirty, dishonest, disgraceful piece of sh*t.
He is hustling. First rule of shady business - always take money upfront. Not his problem WBC dropped the ball. It sucks that Genady lost on the payoff but I am glad WBC got screwed in the end.
:thumbsup Cotto is at the end of his fabulous career Why should he pay 3% for a belt he is not going to defend anyway:hey
Hahaha gotta a point though the fee was because GGG was mandatory to Cotto, the WBC took his title so what is he mandatory to?
And a dirty fighter who's really good at slipping in headbutts and knees to the shin when the ref is paying attention.
Cotto and his team could possibly have screwed themselves into a lawsuit. If Cotto did infact agree to a legally binding contract to pay GGG step aside money than he is obligated to pay. If Cotto was representing himself as the WBC Champion at that time, irregardless of what transpires after that (him getting stripped) becomes irrelevant to the contract.
Not if the agreement was purely verbal. Cotto is not a beginner, nor is he too poor to have a lawyer on the team.
I doubt the midget signed anything. Mauricio and Loefler probably believed his word. I am wondering if Mauricio is in it and will get his cut behind the table. Then Golovkin is screwed and everybody else is happy.
Well it has nothing to do with the man being PR but all about what makes money bro. Why pay a fee when you are about to ride out of the sport  Cotto is no MW champ:nono
On one hand I'm not too surprised, the step aside money is what he seemed most upset about. I doubt he ever gave any kind of word, they probably just told him would have to pay the step aside money and the sanctioning fee if he wanted to keep the belt ..then he just decided not to after trying make a cheaper deal. They mistakenly just assumed he would want to keep the belt.
