Cotto vs Ward at 168 !!!

Edit: for those without sense of humor, it was a joke. Also, Cotto vs Rigo at 147 would be a good RocNation internal fight :)

Do you think Cotto could beat Lara or Trout like Alvarez did? Shyt for brains.

Threads filled with such pre-mature ejaculation usually don't close out well....I wouldn't be surprised to see you eating crow for several days. Just saying Canelo has a great shot at winning here just the whole teddy atlas prediction style has a bad track record.

Styles make fights it's quite clear to most who actually enjoy the sweet science that Cotto has more layers to his game when compared to Canelo.....I somehow feel that you'd consider any fan that rates Cottos boxing ability above Canelo as having shyt for brains......wait are you implying I have a syhtty brain?

Cotto should fight Golovkin. He has a really great chance in that one!

    :!:

I rate Cotto highly and so does my former trainer however we both agree GGG is just to big for him….Cotto would end up getting hurt if that fight ever came to be.

    :deal

I'm glad he didn't pay the sanctioning fee, now he has no bargaining chips in the future other than his name. It puts him closer to us being rid of him. That's one thing Hopkins did right at middleweight, hold on to his IBF belt no matter what until he could get the fights that would alow him to collect the rest of the belts.

Jokes aside, Cotto is really good. It's just that some of the fans have a sour taste in our mouths after he played weight games with Geale, took on Sergio "knee" Martinez and has studiously avoided facing GGG while clinging to the belt. I agree that he's too small for 160 but then he needs to head back to 154 and not hold the belt hostage.

    @ Sergio "Knee" Martinez….

Listen bad knees aside Cotto knew he could execute an effective game plan vs Martinez and he delivered with impeccable precision….a bum knee didn't help especially for a fighter who relies heavily on his athletic ability i.e. RJJ.

Cotto looks impressive vs any version of Martinez just based on his jab off setting anything Martinez did offensively left foot inside the leg of the southpaw while delivering forward body feint simultaneously releasing a wide left hook over the right shoulder awesome

    Back to the point :D

GGG overwhelms Cotto and stops him mid to late….I don't think GGG is as layered as Cotto and doesn't have the savvy Cotto has but he's technically sound, strong, determined and more importantly confident beyond belief. The only fighter capable of stopping his train to s****om (within reasonable proximity weight wise) is Ward as much as people dislike the guy he's a master in that ring and would use every once of aggression GGG brings against him. :bbb

Win or lose, I expect(and hope) to see him retire. He has nothing left to prove and this fight is the perfect fight for him to cash out big.

Golovkin should continue to fight hopeless tomato cans, and on PPV too!. We know idiots like you are buying.

The historical value behind obtaining the Middleweight crown more or less afforded Cotto yet another opportunity at a lucrative yet short lived career/future. Logically speaking I don't see why he's been demonized for making a smart strategic career move, how does this spontaneously destroy what he has contributed to the sport? Catch weights have always existed in boxing (contractual obligations aside) and the complaints form naysayers makes the point even that much more trivial since they have no real clue as to how easy/difficult it was to make the weight. What kills me the most is all the folks screaming from the roof tops complaining about the political bull that goes on in boxing and we just want to see the best fight the best yet they dwell on sanctioning body mandatories, step aside money, catch weights, lineal belts etc etc instead of appreciating what Canelo and Cotto will most certainly bring to us on Saturday while we sit on our asses in a comfy living room with one b*cth on the floor warming our feet chewing on a naked pig bone and the other b*cth sitting next to us opening our beers.

And that's exactly why the possible boxing event of the year two days ahead of us is not getting any buzz :good

I am hoping that Canelo will make Cotto look so bad that the midget will have to fight Rodriguezes and Salkas for the rest of his career.
