It's interesting you should say so, as it actually looks a little different to how it did when it first went up.

I don't understand the rest of your post.

I'd have to agree on Wlad based on the criteria given here. No one has come close to him for almost a decade.

Louis did remove any doubts by knocking Conn, Walcott and Godoy senseless in rematches.

I would take Holmes off. Besides a few questionable decisions, he didn't face the best fighters in the division often enough to be classed as dominating his era.

Liston and Tyson were dominant before they became (lineal) champs. Liston only had one successful defense; Tyson only two.

and never once fought the number 2.

based on your the criteria of this thread, hes not being more dominant than the others "lower" in your list, who all fought the number 2 on many occasions.

wlad should be last on your list, and by a long way.

Who would you replace Homes with? The thing about keeping Holmes up there is he wasn't losing either. He didn't face Greg Page, Gerrie Coetzee or Pinklon Thomas, but those guys were also losing while Holmes kept winning.

It's easier to keep winning when you aren't meeting the best challengers. I can't credit Holmes with dominating his era when he never held more than 50% of the available titles and didn't face many of the top heavies around.

Jeffries, Liston, Lewis and Marciano were more dominant in their eras than Holmes was in his.

Well that's kinds the way it works. Patterson v Moore was only 1 v 2 cos Marciano was out of the picture.

Patterson wasn't avoiding Marciano, period, so your point is null.
