Lies Joshua won a gold at 2012 at Super-Heavyweight, where as Wilder won a bronze at heavyweight, so Joshua came into the pro ranks with the much better amateur credentials. I haven't even checked but I know without doubt if you took the records of Joshua's first 14 compared to Wilders first 14, Joshua's opponents would be of the much better calibre. As for the fight itself no one knows who wins, because we have yet to see Joshua take a shot let alone a big one, one thing he does do however is move back in straight lines and against a massive puncher like Wilder that could be dangerous. However, If they boxed this weekend I would favour Joshua.....just
He's the wbc champ. You don't get that far without some degree of talent. His resume is a joke, but he's beaten better opponents than joshua. Like the previous poster said, the average age of joshua's opponents has been 40. But you can't blame him too much, it's early days and there is the likelihood of him surpassing wilder. I'm just saying at this stage Wilder is the more decorated fighter and I would favour him beating FJ.
We're talking the pro's not some paper Olympian champ. Joshua lost 3 times in the Olympics, he shouldn't have been anywhere near that medal. If we judge the olympics then Floyd Mayweather didn't retire undefeated because he lost to a ridiculous decision in the final against some jobber that he schooled for 12 rounds.

Stiverne and Scott would easily beat any1 Joshua has faced so far. Both have **** resumes tbf but the way sky hype Joshua is ridiculous and are making him a "Ppv fighter" wen he hasn't faced any1 anywhere near top 20 level is shockin there is a reason he is 1/100 on every fight he is fighting bums old bums
He has 20 or so more fights though, unfair to compare records unless we just look at Wilders first 15. I'd favour wilder at this point due to having more experience, plus how he handled stiverne. But you never know what can happen as wilder has been hurt by guys not known to be big punchers.
Bernard Stiverne and Malik Scott are even right now highly ranked opposition. Drug Cheat Joshua has fought nothing close to this calibre of fighter, Dillian Shyte included.
Wilder needs to defend against a credible challenger like Povetkin, instead of cheapening his already devalued version of the title.

I'm greatly amused that people think Wilder would somehow been keen to fight Joshua. His entire career has been based around taking the path of least resistance. Noway he willing picks AJ as an opponent over the soft touches he can get ranked in the top 15. I'm not even particularly high on Joshua I just know Wilder wants no part of anyone with a pulse if he can possibly help it.
