Which male fighters box better than Holy? Cause I haven't seen that ****, I hope you don't mean Dos Santos cause I've seen girls in my high school boxing classes box better than this guy...
Junior Dos Santos is a shell of what he used to be. Even then he always had much bigger fish to deal with than Holy. For MMA he did very good. Holy's skill set wouldn't be able to hold up in that division. That's the honest truth. Women's MMA is not the same thing. Gregard Mousasi trained Dutch kick boxing and has FAR superior boxing. TJ Dillashaw (Muay Thai with boxing elements) has far superior footwork and hands than Holy. Stipe Miocic was an amateur boxer and has better boxing skills. Alexander Gustafsson who started off boxing beat a Swedish pro boxer IN boxing and can box better than Holy even with his atrocious defense. Lyoto Machida and Stephen Thompson aren't even "boxers" (though they cross trained in boxing and kick boxing) have far superior striking, movement and footwork than Holy. KJ Noons was in professional boxing, kick boxing and MMA and did pretty okay in all 3 long before Holy stepped into the picture. Keep in mind that competition in male combat sports is beyond incomprehensible in women's combat sports. Let's not stoop to the level of the UFC and claim that a female can compete with the males and beat them.
But it's fun to troll MMA fans about their own proclaimed best fighter get beat by a boxer. Either way, of course I'm not deluded into thinking that female and male sports are on the same level BUT even if you're not on the same level athletically, that doesn't mean you can't have the skill.. Now, I don't know of any of those you guys you just mentioned but going by what the MMA fans usually claim as "good boxing" (because the guy hits people with punches, that's what qualifies it seems) I'm quite cynical. Either way, I'll try to check it out when I feel like it.
The only reason to have talk about this boring garbage sport on our boxing forum is so that we can bash it for the trash it is.:yep
Boring ass stuff for sure! Wash the Holm/Rousey fight from your eyes with Nelson/De Leon. You won't regret it. :thumbsup
ha! You think that is ever going to happen again with MMA? After Conor gets smoked MMA is left with nothing. absolutely nothing.
lol at you saying a million+ and throwing in the plus part when the made up PPV numbers from Dave Meltzer didnt even get to 1 million for 189 OR 190 So why the f-ck are you typing a million and even putting a plus sign. Embarrassed for you. You have a clear agenda or just plain shilling for Zuffia.
People said the same when GSP left... So tell me, which Boxer will continually do 1m+ buys when Floyd and Manny retire?
Someone will come along and take over the sport. Marciano, Ali, Tyson, Lewis, Floyd, RJJ, there's always someone.
Like who? If Boxing (and it is on a high) is so much of a dominant combat sport, and there's various other combat sports doing well at the moment, you should be able to name me at least 5 fighters who do multimillion buys! Golovkin? Most entertaining fighter in the game. Does 150k. Kovalev? Second most entertaining fighter. Does none. Face it: Ward can't draw flies to ****. Manny will be retired this year. Floyd won't be back for a while. Canelo's drawing power is overrated. As is Cotto's. I love both sports, but Boxing has no superstars on the horizon at the moment.
So there's nobody is what you're trying to say? With a talent pool that is x10 bigger GLOBALLY than MMA and you can't name one? I think Boxing is dying, pal...
No, I'm just saying that these things aren't easy to predict, it happens spontaneously. Who knew a woman would be the biggest star of MMA a couple of years ago? And this line has been spewed so many times it cannot be taken seriously anymore but keep hoping this time is the lucky one!
