I simply believe cotto is the better fighter and that canelo is a bit overrated.

BUT , if not for a bad desicion or dirty tactics, im ready to give canelo his due, no excuses if he wins

Post here if you won't make excuses and give credit to the other fighter!

As you said as long as their is no controversy I'll give the winner (and loser if a good performance) their due.

I'm pretty much a neutral going in though so that's to be expected, just hoping to see a good fight!

I'm of the opinion that Canelo is a good (not great) fighter, but he has more than enough in his ****nal to give what I feel is an overrated Miguel Cotto, a beating.

I think the fight will be one sided in favor of Canelo, so yeah, If Cotto should win that would mean I've underrated Cotto as a fighter because I do think its going to take a sound and excellent fighter to beat Canelo Alvarez.
Just dont see Cotto being that at this point.

Hmm, when you already got controversy on your mind it sounds like you're the kind of guy looking for controversy excuses.

    ^This, basically.

I'm going with Cotto in this one. I think Canelo is naturally bigger and has an age advantage. Cotto has the advantage in experience. We'll see which is able to overcome the other.

    Exactly!
Fans on both sides of the fence claim robbery as long as their fighter who lost was competitive enough.

You can still have a clear winner even if the fight is competitive.
FFS, some Cotto fans claimed Cotto was robbed against Mayweather.

there's always the controversy option in a fight like this (or any fight actually), but I really expect the "Not Ready To Step Up To Middleweight" guy to beat the "Not A middleweight" guy and grab the actual lineal Middleweight championship in the process.

    Canelo TKO10 Cotto.

Hoping Cotto wins but I think Canelo will, too big, powerful, young and it's not like Cotto is much more skilled than he either.

Look forward to your comments if you even have the nerve to show yourself around here after Cotto once again sits his ass/knee on the canvas or stool. :D

Cotto needs at least 1 knock down and not lose more than 4 rounds to win. Even then it might be a draw. His chances are very slim unless he pulls off a knock out. I'm still rooting for him, nevertheless.

This is not a prediction thread guys. But since you are picking winners here, you won't be putting excuses if you are wrong :deal

Personally I don't like either of them, so not sure what kind of result I'm hoping for. A draw perhaps, so that Canelo doesn't get the belt.
