Cotto. Always liked his boxing style, he's the underdog (I think) and it's always nice to know haters are annoyed and Cotto seems to have more haters than Canelo.

Those "fighters from a lower weight" as you call them are holding a world title for ransom but refuse to defend it against the man who is the bona fide world champ. GGG would kick both of their a$$es any day o the week & they know it

I have no horse in this race. I just hope it's a decent fight and that whoever deserves to win, actually wins, without corruption or controversy.

my point was: if you know who the man at middleweight is why do you care who holds what shiny trinket?

Seriously. Boxing politics and sanctioning bs make it impossible half the time for one great fighter to fight another one, so Cotto or Canelo not fighting GGG isn't that strange.

fans of the sport know that a belt doesn't necessarily mean what it used to.

Cotto is considered to be a lineal MW champion. He is also Ring Champion and till a few days ago, he was a WBC champ. In 2 days, Canelo will likely have those titles. Of course we want Golovkin to take these titles he deserves way more than these divas who don't even fight at 160. What is so surprising ?

    I voted Cotto.

Not going to turn my back on one of my favorite fighters now when he is so close to being done. He is acting like a major puss lately but I trying to overlook that.

I'm with you. I also voted Cotto. By the way if Cotto wins, does he get his belt back for free or is going automatically to GGG?

The belt goes to GGG, but I still want Cotto BADLY beaten.

    I really don't - at all.

I never particularly cared for either guy much in terms of rooting either for or against them. I always was a bit of a Shane fan, so I actively rooted for him in losing efforts against both (I thought Shane did better on the cards than most, but concede possible bias on my end regarding Cotto). Other than that, there are times when I've enjoyed watching both Cotto and Canelo.

For the most part, I tend not to care what happens in their fights one way or another (exception being Cotto's brief stint with Emanuel I was probably pulling for him somewhat, but that was more me rooting for Emanuel than rooting for Cotto).

I admire Cotto's courage of facing fighter's like Margarito in his prime and took the risk against Maravilla, took a gamble and it paid off. But we will see if it was a fluke or not against an improving and hungry Canelo. If indeed Cotto has really improved, Id at least like to of have seen a fight with Mayweather, but now that win or lose he wont have the belt regardless, he blew his chances for a Mayweather rematch. If he wasn't going to fight GGG at least push for a Mayweather rematch. Then the cards would have fallen into place for a megafight with Cotto-Mayweather winner with Ggg. So yea, hoping for Canelo, who is most likely to face Ggg. Btw, he's looking faster and leaner than ever in training camp. Alot faster than Cotto.
