You people think short term. Corporations think long term. Rigo, as long as he stays active, can be built into a PPV star. Roc Nation's plan is to have a marqee star in as many weight divisions as possible. Just remember, there was a time when Floyd was not exaxtly box office either!
Yeah...about that... Rigo is a 35 year old who fights at 122 pounds and is most definitely not a fan friendly fighter. I highly doubt anyone is even planning on making him a PPV star. Now with ROC at his side, he has the financial pull to get the right opponents in the ring with him but even so, the biggest name at 122 is signed to Haymon.
If that's how much they're paying him, good for him. He's the best in his division, and one of the best in the world. Whoever negotiated his side of the contract needs to be given a bonus! Whoever negotiated that for Roc Nation needs an @sswhooping! lol
There is still not a single source on this information. Edit: Rigondeaux' contract with Roc Nation is $10.000.000 for 4 years. About 1 million per fight.
They won't ever make this money back on Ward or Rigo and especially its they were to fight Kovalev and Loma next both of their careers would be over.
