oh stop it....this is a "newly inked lets get him on our big card" fight........for some "superstars" of the sport this is a "headline hbo card"...but ill refrain from saying his name
rigo isnt a worn fighter that gets himself in "fights"....guy only has 15 pro fights....as long as he keeps himself in good shape, which i have no reason to believe he doesnt/wont, hell be fine....
Yes, that might be true. However, thew excuses for the opponents are running out. If their excuse not to fight Rigo is because they are concerned for Roc Nation (Rigo's promoter, not theirs) operating with a loss, then that's awfully hilarious.
The contract,between Roc Nation and Guillermo,is for 4 years,10 millions per year,the total is 40 m(4 x 10=40). Koniec!
when ive mentioned many times that ggg is 33 his fans always say "well hes not an old 33....hes in good shape and hasnt been in many wars....he still has plenty of time left".....so i mean...rigo is a couple of years older and has half the number of pro fights under him.....and rigo doesnt get hit that much....im just saying..... every once in awhile a guy comes along that can sort of defy the normal aging limits that we think we know....
Lower weights age quicker. Mid 30's is basically end of the road for the vast majority of bantemweights. Rigo still at the top of his game and division nearing 40 will be imo shocking.
He might still be on top then but I'd be very suprised. It's not impossible that rigo could get iced any day and never be the same
You guys have no concept of age, apparently. These guys are older. You can't do the same things you can do when you're in your mid thirties that you could do when you were in your twenties. You have to make adaptations. Sadly, GGG will be in the same place in a few years as well, which is why it's imperative that he gets fights with some of the top guys, so boxing fans have an opportunity to see some great fights. Rigo is in the same situation, but he's already 35. Additionally, Rigo is a smaller guy with a negative style. The style could save him a few years, but it would be Rigo's opponent who would get me interested in a fight. Who could Rigo fight that would generate interest? Also, don't think everyone is going to be like Mayweather. Remember, Mayweather has been using drugs for several fights now. His T/E ratio, the IV incident and several other curious situations make this obviously apparent.
This is as bad as giving a 35 yr old baseball player a 10 yr, 200million deal. Hey I don't blame the athlete....take the money and run. But it cannot be a good financial deal. He's simply not a big PPV name and that's where the big money is.
Good for him. But Roc Nation will not be around much longer. They will be the next 50 cents promotions whatever the hell the name of that was
