Even a '96 Tyson was far better than Bert Cooper. A couple levels above, really. Losing efforts to Moorer and Holyfield aside, Cooper's best moments were against the undefeated overhyped Canadian (forgot his name) and Joe Hipp. Tyson was still beating the tar out of Bruno and a gutless Seldon. I don't know, Tyson still had power and speed and would only lose to the best post prison.

Tyson KO 2 Moorer. I'll give Moorer a round to survive.

I don`t think Moorer could survive the intial first round onslaught that even the `96 version of Mike Tyson brought. He was still a fast and powerful offensive fight and Moorer just couldn`t match the energy. If you could drop double M into the 7th round with Tyson he would have a reasonable chance he never makes it there.

In a word, no. Moorer had no chin to withstand the Tyson onslaught and goes out Tua style.

Moorer stands right in front of Tyson and is bombed out, maybe even the first round. Moorer was almost stopped by Cooper is a smaller and less powerful version of Tyson.

Tyson would not be fighting Moorer, he would be fighting Teddy Atlas which means he would be coming for blood to make a point and Moorer would be the sacrificial lamb.

Moorer had very good boxing skills, but he was tailor-made for Tyson, even mid-90s Tyson.

no. Mike was a puncher and Moorer's chin was terrible at heavyweight. Even at light heavy he didn't have a good chin.. Mike would stop him in one.

Tyson by epic starching and early. Just because Tyson lost to a well prepared, did his homework Evander Holyfield doesn't mean that therefore Tyson would have lost to any and every heavyweight in recent history.

I love Moorer but Tyson would have Knocked him out within 5 rounds. Would have loved to see it though as Moorer was still one of the top heavyweights at that time.

Well Holyfield had a similar experiance with Bert Cooper.

Gotta give Michael Moorer some credit he climbed off the canvas a couple of times and came on to knock him out. Moorer had a nice skillset and he had some pop himself. I understand why Tyson would be favored. By`96 Mike Tyson was a 3 round fighter but that opening onslaught was still very devastating. Moorer might not survive it. If he was still there after 3 or 4 rounds Tyson would be tested and Tyson at that time didnt hold together.

    Overall though must pick Tyson.
