Was Darleys Perez the worst ''world champion'' to have fought in England?

    Feel bad saying this because Crolla is such a great guy, but that was European level at the very best. Perez actually stood and applauded Crolla as the result was being announced.

    Gerald McClellan, Donald Curry, Kostya Tszyu, Darleys Perez, spot the odd one out. Joe Gallagher ambushing Crolla's interview. Luke 'The Grinch' Campbell immediately getting Sky air time to call Crolla out. World titles in boxing are at an all-time low in terms of levels of prestige.

    Lets just let Crolla enjoy the moment, something he deserves, just because he has now achieved more than you could dream of lets not start hating him now.

    Jackie I honestly rate Crolla as THE most likeable guy in British boxing, and am English. I've just always thought that a world champion in any sport should be incapable of the level of ineptitude Perez displayed tonight. A world champion folding from a single shot against a self confessed non-puncher was pathetic. You have to be honest on these things.

    Come on Pro, Lacy could punch with his left hand and displayed a chin and heart to be proud of against Calzaghe. Perez did just enough to avoid being accused of throwing the fight. He was absolutely pathetic.

    Agree absolutely shocking.

    Pleased for Crolla but the reaction of A dame Smith makes people think Crolla just took out Mike Tyson in his prime or a Kovalev.
