That was smart by Goode. He knew he was gassed and it was the last round anyway...so why not take maximum risk and try scoring the upset KO? Worst case scenario you punch yourself and get stopped which is where it could well have been headed anyway. Best case you pull it off. Medium case - well, exactly this. You make a dent but it just isn't quite enough and you lose a razor-thin one-point decision to an undefeated prospect.

did Cotto kill your dog, steal your identity and buy seven powerboats using credit cards he opened in your name, set your house on fire and then publish a book that details every embarrassing thing that ever happened in your life? Did that book become a best-seller and stayed at the top of the NY Times book review for months?

'Cause if so, then you're justified in what you want to happen. If not then...

A bit early to write him off completely. Fury and Wilder have both been dropped worse than that against unheralded fighters.

No, it was just a big punch smack on the gob.

Balance wasn't the issue, nor even was chin (Goode is a strong-looking fellow and five of his six career W's have come by KO) - that was a lapse in Zhilei's defense. That should be his and his coaches' takeaway in the video room afterwards.

Sure it was. You slow any punch down it'll appear less powerful. :yep

I like what I saw regardless.... He bounced back and landed some of his best combinations after going down. He'll look better next time. :good

So who's up first on the televised card since the Haskin's fight is off? Rios/Velez?
