I've noticed this on holiday, scousers all back each other up and stick together even where they don't know each other like Liverpool is a different country.

    Agreed.

Just like the Isle Of Man; Scousers are their own people.

I am not convinced any of them are world class but they seem a nice close bond family

Anyone remember when Smith was on The Contender? Bad as it was, I quite enjoyed the first couple of seasons.

Yes, he won his fight but went out. Weird rules. I loved it when he made that arrogant divvy David Banks's legs turn to jelly.

Yeah it became a lot weirder post being produced by NBC. Apparently the budget for that was around 2m per episode, which is crazy if true.

What!? Can't see whatwould cost so much except for corny music over the fights which ruined it a bit because you know when someone was about to land a big shot. Overall I enjoyed it though. Paul was highly thought of by the trainers and looked like he could have had a brighter future. Should have fought at middle.

I'd imagine Stallone and Leonard were commanding fairly large paycheques but I don't know if they actually sold tickets to the fights on the show.

If they didn't it could have been very expensive, imagine putting on an arena show without any gate. You end up broker than FW post the London arena debacle.

amazing achievement their folks have done a grand job. Not sure how many people have ever been in an actual bout but to talk down turning pro and competing take so much effort and for all four to do it is brilliant.
