Dempsey & Louis" Trained" Today?

Louis is more of a legendary fighter. But that wouldn't stop Haye landing his Hayemakers. Louis was there to be hit, he had went down against plenty of guys. Haye would just be too awkward for Louis.

 

i'm one of the biggest haye advocates on here but i've gotta go with louis in that one. not unwinable for haye but a long way from 50/50 imo.

 

What makes you think Louis couldn't land one of his dynamite shots on Haye? He's not exactly Floyd Mayweather is he?

 

If that's the case a fat bast#ard like me should be able to take out sugar Ray Leonard I am 40lbs heavier than him.must dig out my old gloves.

good luck with that, learning to read might be a better use of your time tho. how did you read a post saying that a 40lb weight advantage was overcome 6 times in 50 years of champions bouts vs legit opposition and come to the conclusion that you can beat a trained fighter solely based on being fat?

i think louis would beat wlad, but i'm not going to ignore everything i know about boxing and pretend that a 40lb weight disadvantage is irrelevant in a fight between two long reigning champions.

 

Louis beats any Boxer who is around today.

Dempsey was built almost exactly like Holyfield .. one nch shorter and one inch shorter in reach .. both were wide shouldered and long armed .. there is no reason Dempsey could not be 210 today.

Louis was a bigger man, a solid 6' 2" with large legs .. he easily could have been 220 today as if anything his upper body was less developed than his legs ..

 

The point I was making was that that if you have a bigger version of the same fighter ie Louis then all things being equal apart from size and weight then larger taller Louis would be at a advantage .However in the real world the actual Louis although smaller and lighter than the current giants would have speed skill and stamina advantage and in my humble opinion more than enough power to KO any current HW who crossed his path.
