Floyd beat Cotto 8-4, Canelo beat Cotto 9-3 what does that say about Canelo?

    Doesn't say anything... No two fighters will have the exact same result against the same opponents.

    Both were fights in which virtually every round was contested. However, IMO Mayweather won much more clearly.

    8-4 Canelo at the worst, IMO.

    If you scored it any closer, I believe you were trying to give Cotto rounds.

    That size matters.

    Floyd is a natural lightweight. Canelo is a natural middleweight.

    Canelo beat Cotto at the tail end of his career. I'd venture to argue that Cotto didn't really want to win that fight as much as Canelo did. He already stopped paying his sanctioning belt fees and was getting ready to drop that belt on the ground as soon as they handed it back to him. Doesn't want the GGG drama.

    Floyd didn't beat a green, dehydrated Canelo with ease. He was outboxing Canelo on the inside, but on the outside Canelo was actually jabbing and holding his own vs Mayweather. Canelo is alot craftier now, beat a better version of Cotto than Floyd did.

    Cotto has been past prime for years.

    He's taken 2 complete savage beatings in his career.

    Very true. I think this fight was a retirement move. I hope he hangs it up soonish.

    I think Roach may need to hang it up soon too. I understand that coaching helps his medical condition but I just don't think he has it anymore. This is the second time he felt his fighter was winning when they clearly were not. Cotto was definitely still in the fight, but he surely wasn't winning.

    :lol::rofl

    Come on man you don't even believe that. PBF beat Cotto in 2012 he was much fresher and Diaz IMO is a better trainer for Cotto than Roach is. The version of Cotto that PBF fought that night would more than likely beat Canelo. Lastly PBF damn near shut Canelo out and he stood in front of him while doing so, it wasn't close
