Floyd beat Cotto 8-4, Canelo beat Cotto 9-3 what does that say about Canelo?

Canelo got hit by Cotto less than Floyd who couldn't keep him off him. However Floyd hurt Cotto in the twelth and landed better shots on him all night. I prefer Floyd's performance. That was actually a good Floyd fight, for once, of course Cotto was the one forcing fight.

Cotto won 8 rounds off Floyd, Canelo only won 3 (in my eyes 0). What does that say about Canelo?

Those are probably the right scores. I think it was a combination of things. Floyd seemed a little off his game in the earlier rounds.
Cotto was really on his game and used his jab more than he did against Canelo. Canelo is a lot bigger than Floyd and didn't have to worry about Cotto being able to hurt him.
Cotto was closer to his physical prime against Floyd.
Most importantly, even though I think Cotto won one more round against Floyd, Floyd was still more dominant overall. Floyd/Cotto was more domination via skill while Canelo was more dominant physically.

in my opinion, cotto probably won more rounds against floyd due to their sizes. canelo was much bigger than floyd so it was harder for him to lunge forward without the chance of big bombs hitting him. he didnt really need to worry that much about getting bombed out by floyd, as it doesnt usually happen from floyd.

Floyd was schooling Canelo at times, but it wasn't that one sided. Neither Floyd nor Canelo arehigh output fighters, Floyd was landing the cleaner shots, and he was the clear winner, but Canelo held his own at times, especially in the 2nd half of the fight. Regarding Cotto, be real C, even tho you don't like Roach, you really think Trout would repeat on Cotto? I don't think so. Cotto looks sharper now than when he fought Floyd or Trout. He never flicked that jab out that fast in his career, not even in his 140-147lbs days. He was doubling and even triple jabbing. Idk about Diaz being a better trainer than Roach, cuz I don't think Cotto wouldn't be in the position of getting the wbc 160 belt if it wasn't for Roach.

Never seen that first fight you speak of. I saw Cotto buzzed multiple times against Canelo, only once against Mayweather. :huh

Pac annihilated Cotto, Cotto gave Mayweather trouble, Mayweather comfortably beat Pac, comparing victories as a gauge doesn't work.

I think his jab was more on point in the PBF fight than it was against Canelo. IMO he didn't use his jab enough against Canelo. He was giving PBF hell with his jab it was really the only punch he was landing with frequency. I respect your opinion but I disagree with you here.:good

Pimp man i don't know I've seen the fight twice now and only gave Cotto like 3 rds, he was competitive throughout like in the Mayweather fight but lost pretty clear.
