i agree with most of your points. i think he is the next consistent million selling fighter.
if he were to plateau now, i think he would fall short of elite, in terms of ability. i dont believe he is done, though. i think the best is yet to come.

Alvarez doesn't get his due because of the hate for Mayweather, Canelo is one of the best fighters in boxing and the best between 154-60.

I think Canelo has very good power, but I'd like to see him use more traps and use his jab more. He has a huge upperbody and is kinda stiff like Oscar, doesn't use too much upperbody movement, he needs to move his head more. When he went after Lara, it seemed he was frustrated and was just trying too hard. Didn't try to neutralize any of Lara's left hands, Canelo was eating them up and taking Lara's best shots in order to give his. Which sometimes is fine, but I'd like to see him fight abit smarter. But I agree, he is improving in each fight.

I don't like his feet and stamina other than that he's very good.

Once again, Canelo proved to be a strong counter puncher with amazing defense.

I know a lot of you youngens do not appreciate the art of BobN'Weave, but take notes when Canelo fights because that defense is better than running.

Do you even know the difference between BobN'Weave and slipping punches? Alvarez doesn't BobN'Weave. lol

I agree with whoever said Canelo reminds them of Danny Garcia. Both are very good fighters, and they have good records, but I just don't think they are on the same level as Gonzalez, Klitschko, Rigondeaux, Pacquiao, Ward, etc.

He doesn't only bob n weave, he parrys, and he laos slips punches.

    Canelo's defense is greatly uderrated...

As the thread title states, he is one of the most complete fighters today.

Alvarez is better defensively than I thought but he doesn't use the bob and weave style at all. I have never seen him use it.

Canelo proved himself at 154. He has done nothing at 160 and he was lucky to get a decision over Cotto, who gets destroyed by any top 5 middleweight.

honestly canelo is very good but he really need to pick up his punch output...less than 500 punches thrown for a 25 years old is just embarrassing :patsch

Ok but his stamina is just horrible. I don't understand how his stamina could be THAT bad.

Does he not do his running and his pushups? When you do your conditioning it takes more to tire.
