What do people think of Quigley's performance? It's on the 42 dot ie too. Thought his defence looked way better first 2 rounds,. But at the total expense of his jab? I know he always threw that right hand a lot but it was OTT last night, leaning to his left all the time. Not too sure about that 'American style'. Bit naughty what he reportedly said about the gym talent in Ireland too - although I wouldn't necessarily believe the planks commentating.
hopefully he was just tailoring his answer to suit his audience..perhaps just being a bit lazy....either he couldnt be bothered explaining to the US commentators about all the talent over here or maybe he felt they wouldnt have the patience or interest or the intelligence to take it all in. No way is Quigley unaware of all the other Irish talent.
I heard today that Irvine boxes Willie O Donoghue in the semi final, that will be some fight, O donighue was allowed enter the draw because he weighed in the same day in poland for the euros,

Irish captain Frankie Cleary bowed out of the European Youth Championships in Kolobrzeg, Poland today. The Olympic BC bantam was beaten on a split decision by Hungary’s Sandor Tar. Cleary won the first round this afternoon and was boxing well and at a higher pace in the second, but went down under a big right and took a second standing count after a big exchange near the end of the frame heading into a close third round, a harsh call as Cleary had caught his opponent with a big shot in the same exchange. Earlier today, Michael Nevin booked his ticket into the last 16. The former European Schoolboy and Junior champion, who is aiming for a unique hat-trick at the 38-nation tournament, TKO’d Heorhi Varashylau in the third round after dominating the first two frames against the Belarusian. Nevin was 20-16,20-16,20-17 ahead when the ref intervened. Irish coach John Conlan praised the performances of both boxers today. Nevin, Adam Kelly and James McGivern will be in action tomorrow. It is good chance you will have Heavyweight champion the the World this upcoming weekend. Fury might get floored here if something big lands on him but I think he will get up and youth and hunger will take over the experience Wlad has. This is hell of a interesting match up.
