Good fight, actually. I don't see a problem with it, even though it looks like the mileage is catching up with the Ghost.
Guerrero is weird. Dude went from boxing at the lower weights, to brawling at the higher weights. He probably gets stopped, but he'll be in Garcia's grill the whole time.
Good fight to test himself at a new weight, don't get all the hate Guerrero is better than alot of hyped up guys opponents recently.
Agreed. I'm really not sold that Garcia, today, is as much above this level as it gets made out to be even if Ghost has seen better days. He has to watch out for pure boxers from a technical standpoint and brawlers/sluggers from a physical durability standpoint, and I think the Matthysse fight took something from the latter that isn't coming back. I don't think he's got many more fights in the tank, honestly. Guerrero is a safer brawler from the perspective that he's smaller and doesn't pack the punch of a true welterweight. From that angle, I get it. It should be an entertaining s****, regardless. It's 60/40 Garcia for me at this point.
This right here. And he's shown that vulnerability vs Herrera, Peterson and even Judah. In essence, all the decent fighters he's faced since.
Garcia will struggle with Guerrero, if the Ghost has anything left in the tank. Morales, Judah, Matthysse, Herrera and Peterson beat him up and Malignaggi made him look basic. Garcia is not all that and people are only hating on this fight because he is undefeated on paper.
It seems pretty obvious Garcia is receiving counsel from Floyd about how to take his fights. Picked a guy who can't box on the downside of his career...I really hope Guererro shocks the world and knocks this kid out.
