Come on they are not even remotely alike.

It is a totally nonsensical comparison, whether he is better than them or not.

Buddy Baer was 6'7" and 250 pounds against Louis. Primo Carnera was 6'6" and 260 pounds against Louis.

Granted, Baer and Carnera weren't Vitali Klitschko. But Chris Byrd and Corrie Sanders weren't exactly Joe Louis, either.

It would be a good fight. Joe Louis had good size. He was bigger and hit harder than a prime Evander Holyfield. And I'm sure some people would give a prime Evander a fighting chance against Vitali.

Louis proved in the ring he could out-jab and wipe out guys the size of Vitali. Vitali, despite his excellent KO percentage, tended to stop people after delivering a sustained beating.

He didn't typically bowl people over in a round.

    It's a solid fight. I'd lean toward Louis.:good

That said, I've never cared for Ron Lipton.

It was qualitative comparison. And you are correct, they have nothing in common with Vit in terms of quality

More importantly, they have nothing in common in terms of style.

If you look for fighters on Louis’s resume who were similar to VK, you are going to end up with Primo Carnera and Buddy Baer, which is a bit of an own goal.

Probably better for you not to play this hand.

Lipton is an established contributor. He was a friend of Carter and, it hurt him to say this, realized he was GUILTY of the crime!
And Rubin wasn't one of the best Middles of AT. He lost a fair share and could be boxed. And **** Tiger went toe to toe and kicked his ASS! And his title bout? Joey G. won a clear decision. Once Rubin saw he couldn't get through the boxer, he was forced to try and pick shots and try to score, with a little luck, here and there. To his credit, he shook Joey a couple of times but the out come was never in doubt and no one puts Giardello on any short list of ATG Middles...

Ali was a flat 6'2, Dundee confirmed it, Ali stated it and like they always do tall fighters are listed an inch taller and short fighters are listed an inch shorter for affect, the press loves it.

Funny thing is Vlad is listed as 6'6 and Fury 6'9 but there is only a possible inch between the 2 from what I can see. I think Vlad is close to 6'6 but Fury is not 6'9

It's possible but unlikely that Louis "annihilates " Vitali. Comparing Vitali with Primo Carnero insults him.

primo was undisputed champ, vitali never was anything close to primo. vitali needed his brother to help him skirt fighting a LHW. cant see primo doing that.

I stood right next to George Foreman and I can confirm he really is 6'3". Gerry ****ey was even taller, but I would not venture a guess.

    And?

He's talking about Joe Louis beating Vitali Klitschko, not himself. He's entitled to his opinion as much as the next person.

Vitali would KO them both. Farr went the distance with Louis. Pastor made Louis look bad at times.

I think Ali was closer to 6'3" tall. I stood next to an exact replicate copy of Ali in a wax museum in Las Vegas. Before they make this life like replicas they measure all body parts. As the tour guide said you could recognize them from their backs!

I had about an inch on Holyfield, but Ali had an in on me and me', 6'2" tall. Of course my shoes might have thrown things off a bit.

Ali up close is a big man. Holyfield up close was a pumped up guy with thinner legs and arms.
