Canelo gets a lot of priviliges when it comes to scoring

    You could say the same thing about a lot of the shots Lara landed in the last 6 rounds as well, he was running so much, he wasn't able to properly sit down on many of his shots either, many of them were grazing shots or flicks that Canelo caught on his gloves.

    If the body shots were "grazing at best" why was Lara running like forest gump all night?

    Uh, to keep it that way? Lara would've been a fool to stand and let Canelo pound on him. That's why he boxed him.

    He would boxed far more effectively had he not looked like the Cuban Speedy Gonzalez, maybe try stopping and landing a few combinations. But...No The mother****er literally never stopped running.:-(

    That's how you box a bigger guy that's committed to charging at you all night.

    Joan Guzmán, Cory Spinks, etc always got accused of running when they were in fact boxing, correctly, against bigger opponents looking to mow them down.

    Omar Andrés Narváez (whom I adore, but in this particular instance) versus Nonito Donaire, Andre Dirrell versus Curtis Stevens, Julio Ler versus Jorge Arce, Oscar de La Hoya in the championship rounds versus Félix Trinidad - those are instances of someone actually flat-out running.

    I scored the Canelo Lara match for Lara by a point I believe. Lara was doing a great job of defensive boxing, but he did it to the point of running. For his part, Canelo is just clueless when it comes to movers and couldn't do anything with Lara. It's such a shame that Lara and Rigondeaux won't take chances or throw more punches. Otherwise, they are elite superior boxers.

    Why is it so hard to understand that running the laterals without any intent to throw an "effective" punch, is not boxing.

    Running laterally isn't boxing. Sidestepping and drilling an opponent after he's missed a shot is boxing.

    Sidestep, "pop!" Sidestep, "pop pop!"

    Running running running running, "flick flick".....and repeating the trackmeet process is not boxing, don't know who the hell told you that.

    Even boxers who scored the fight for Lara said he ran in that fight, it was a 50/50 bout 7-5 either way is correct.

    You can say Canelo didn't land much but neither did Lara,Mayweather uses subtle movement most of the time to slip shots.

    Lara's entire defense is staying as far away as possible, as a guy who likes boxers that stuff is running.

    Agreed on your comparison of Mayweather and Lara.
    Mayweather stays in punching range a lot more than Lara.
    For great stretches vs Canelo, Lara was running with the intent to stay far away from punching range.
    That my friends is not boxing.
    A good boxer stays in range and still avoids getting hit.

    Comparing thoses two fights is ridiculous Mayweather landed like 200+ punches on Canelo, Lara 88 that should drive the point home really.
