Oh MMA is dependent on Boxing!!! Not Boxing on MMA. So it will be pretty good to watch boxing discussion on MMA forums, but not MMA on boxing forums.

 

Boxing is a subset of MMA

That said, boxing is where the money and the tradition is so there is some truth to what you are saying.

I think the fascination with MMA comes from the fact that its a more pure form of combat which more accurately answers the question of "which style is best" and "would A beat B in a real fight"

It's been a section on the Underground for as long as I can remember. Judo as well.

 

Crazy isn't it, who would have thought discussing another combat sport on a combat sport forum would cause such a stir.
