I was speaking to Bute last week and I could very well tell you that he is fully ready for this. He's calmer then usual, his experience seems to play a big part here. Believe it or not but the losses have built him up and he's in terrific physical shape.

As people mention, I feel that fighting in a brand new arena and with his fans/support (which counts a lot for his mental game I find), will help a lot in this bout.

Degale is shaping up to be quite a fighter... He's extremely versatile and he's tough. A confident and mentally focused Bute does stand a chance though....

I personally think Degale takes this, but I'd love for Bute to win this and continue on with a few more fights. He's good for the sport, he's had his ups and downs and he's all class.

DeGale is the more skilled ?

Degale whose only win of note is against a shot, old, brain damaged Dirrell ?

The same DeGale who was outboxed by Groves ?

    :patsch

If DeGale goes in Hagler style, Bute will counter him, and I think Bute will catch him good with life or death returns!

Bute is a class act in and out of the ring. I hope he wins. Degale isn't popular back home, hes got a big mouth and he has only beaten has beens.

I think DeGale is just trying to hype the fight and get into Bute's head. He is obviously very confident but I think he does actually respect Bute as an opponent

Good fight! Glad to see Chunky didn't take things lightly. Bute won't ever be able to be the Super 6 era Bute again, but he boxed better than he has in years tonight.

Now at the end DeGale saying Bute is worldclass. Probably he didn't expect to get the decision and scorecard made him even happier. Anyway it was a very nice fight compared to Fury's.

Imo, Degale shouldn't be mocking anyone. Not impressed with his performance against Bute. The guy has zero power.

Tbf when the fight was first announced DeGale was saying Bute is world class, experienced, was a champ for a long time etc talking up his opponent. Then there was the usual pre-fight trash talk and then after the fight it's back to talking up his opponent again. Typical stuff that you would expect really.

I had Bute edging him. A draw would have been fair.
DeGeale backed up like a ***** Found out quite fast that he wont be able to bully Bute.
