It will more likely be remembered as the end of the hardwork and medication era and the birth and the hardwork and dedication era. :hi::hi::hi::hi::hi:

All aboard! (Although we need a figurehead symbolically more like Polk and less like Obama if we're to regain any footing in this area).

    García will return.

Thurman, Crawford, Russell Jr., and Bradley are leading the charge on the p4p front.

The winner of Quillin vs. Jacobs will be the real #2 MW in the world, as nobody considers Álvarez to be a real middleweight.

Spence, J-Rock, the Charlo bros, Jennings, Khytrov (a naturalized US citizen as of this year), Sammy Vasquez, Jo-Jo Diaz, Joel Diaz Jr., Benavides, Hurd, Arnett, Frankie Gomez, Eddie Gomez, Saul Rodriguez, Dusty Hernandez Harrison, Jose Carlos Ramirez, Trevor McCumby, Julian Ramirez, Tevin Farmer, Luis Arias, Mike Reed, Caleb Plant, Alantez Fox, Cornflake Lamanna, Óscar Molina, Domonique Dolton, David Benavidez, Adam Lopez, and Diego De la Hoya are all young (in their twenties, most early 20's) and promising.

Even at heavyweight, where most of the American top 40 is quite old (with an average age of 40 :!:) there are some nice green saplings under the age of 30 among those many-ringed and moss-covered trunks. Bryant Jennings is the clear best, followed by Charles Martin, Trevor Bryan, Wesley No-Fire, Jarrell Miller - all undefeated. Then you have guys that have incurred a loss (or a few) but proven their h2h stock as tough outs for anybody on a good night: Daniel Martz, Alexis Santos, and even Joey Dawejko. Then you have a couple of unbeaten yet extremely unproven punchers in Trey Lippe and Adam Kownacki.

There are some corking prospects in the pipeline in the UK, but nothing close to as many as that. ^

For every Luke Campbell (future multi-division champion) there is a Romaeo (total hype-job).

Most of the greatest British prospects emerging over the last few years have already begun taking steps up to world level and either succeeding or failing (and ceasing to be prospects). I don't think as many are waiting in the wings to replace them as there were a few years ago. So enjoy it now, Hans, but I think UK boxing is about to follow this bull period with a more bearish one.

Right on brother Boxing Ears. Especially today.

I'd like to take a moment today, on the Americanest of American holidays, to give thanks for the sport of baxing. For all the fighters who lay it out for my entertainment, for the heated discussions, for Wlad's hugs, Fury's punches to his own face, Mrs. Cotto's canyon of heroes, for Nazim Richardson just laying about during press conferences, for Amir Khan's glass neck, for Guy Robb, for kisses from Steve Smoger, Kell's chocolate brownies, underdogs, Paulie's manicured eyebrows, for Russians, for Mexicans, for Russian Mexicans, for all the *****s, Pac****s, Golovturds, Calzaghaholics, Klit****s, Brit****s, Muricans, JMM's sombrero, for The One Time, Siberia, Goonie goo goo, SNV, Wayne Newton, RBRs, mittwork, cutmen, Poo and Mantequilla, whatever happened to that guy?, Buffer, "and the new", slicksters, brawlers, 10 bell salutes, TKO1s, Bute's uppercuts, Bud, Loma, puncher's chances, ....Happy Thanksgiving.

The 4th of July would like to see you in the backyard, des.

Also, apropos of nothing, A&D ointment is helpful for burns on the gluteus maximus (such as one might sustain if fireworks were to be inserted & lit thereabouts)

Maybe they'll find JPP's thumb up there somewhere.

The 4th is the most USAest of holidays, they'll get theirs too. And although Thanksgiving wasn't an official holiday until Honest Abe declared it one, the events pre-dated the 4th of July. Anyway, you got something agin pumpkin pie? What do you have agin pumpkin pie?

UK boxing is having a nice little run, but lets not get carried away with the Liam Smith's of the world.

In your list, I really like J-Rock. I've seen some interviews with him and he strikes me as intelligent and focused -- he studies fights and fighters.

Some other US prospects that should shine very soon:

Amir Imam, Erickson Lubin, and Gervonta Davis.

    A few wildcards:

Robert Easter jr., Andrew Tabiti, Rashidi Ellis, and Junior Younan.
