Maybe in a big fight he will land a one shot KO. Otherwise he just seems happy boxing and making his opponent look like a trapped animal that dares not to escape.

But Kovalev isn't the best to judge that, he has been sparked with headgear and big gloves

I re-watched GGG vs Lemieux with a non- English commentary . Lemieux did fairly well , he tried hard and landed some good punches especially in the last 4 rounds. He threw a good number of punches but landed at a lower rate than GGG .

GGG has good power but it is the combination of pressure , relentless coming forward , imposing his will that breaks down his opponents seemingly almost as much mentally as physically .

Looking forward to seeing GGG -Canelo , Canelo has good power himself but GGG jabbing should lay the groundwork to a win .

Has GGG ever had to postpone a fight due to being injured ?

    He has great power.

He doesnt even load his shots and he stops everyone.

Curtis Stevens said it best. He doesn't have explosive power, he has that wear you down kind of power....

But he got up, and finished the fight on his feet, so. No, not really.

If his power aint so impressive and his stoppages are more an accumulation of punches, then how come he always manages to put most of his opponents down in first or second round. Even if the stoppage might come later his power seems so unexpected overwhelming that even fighters never gone down taste first time canvass early and after that get a beating for a few more rounds!!!!!

You would have to ask the fighters who have said that about him. His accuracy comes to mind

To me it doesn´t make much sense to compare his power to Jackson´s after his long knock out row (20 or 21 knock out in a row). He is a knock out artist, there are no questions about it. The thing that surprise me all the time is how many "fans" refuse to see his boxing skills that are unique if compared to anyone in the history of boxing. I think it´s something to do with the fact that he uses his skills to Tko/KO his opponent and his ability to wear his opponent down. There are people who think boxer who is skilled doesn´t try to force stoppage based on some other fighters (Like May, Hopkins, Ward etc).

You are 100% spot on, great post! Golovkin almost has a perfect ****nal and combining it with very good power what really makes him the KO machine.

agree with most of your post abuffy, but when you see a photo of GGG punching, his face shows the enormity of how much he puts into his shots
