    Neither of those were robberies.

No but they were close, specially the Dirrell fight (I am a Bute fan).

Still, this is two great win. He got rid of the "old stock" passing the torch to a new "generation" at 168. The one post "super six".

This fight was a robbery! Bute won the fight easy! For real this kind of **** hurts the sport!

I wouldn't say Bute got robbed. He got robbed of a rematch maybe - now I think Degale declines but it was a good fight and I would enjoy seeing part 2. The fight was closer than what the card ended up being.

The scorecard was hugely unfair. Even the Brits had draw. I thought Bute won by 2 rounds. Such a pity.

DeGale needs to address his mid rounds drop in form, he will always be in close fights if he gives away those mid rounds. Not sure if it's a physical conditioning issue where he is forced to pace himself or if it's simply a lack of focus. He starts well, gets comfortable then loses focus and drops the middle rounds and is forced to finish strongly.

Either way good result for DeGale. Though people will compare his performance to Froch's against Bute and say he simply isn't as good.

The fight was pretty close. DeGale was hitting cleaner (powder puff) shots but Bute was working more and pushing the pace. This was the type of fight that no matter what you scored, the other corner would disagree.

I gave the last 4 rounds to Bute

This is very true. Can give fights away doing that.

Some people will jump to that conclusion but some people know styles make fights and those triangle theories don't really work. Can't really compare DeGale to Froch until his career is over or at least more complete than it is now as you never know what the future will hold. Froch had many doubters earlier in his career, same with Calzaghe, Brook as well and a hell of a lot of people doubted Fury could beat Wlad and become unified Champ.

Bute gave a good account of himself but he clearly lost. Degale is underappreciated at home which is why he has to travel. Good boxer with no power, but he keeps on winning.

SkySports, who in between the rounds only showed highlights of DeGeale, had it a draw.
DeGeale had no idea how to adapt.
