I am just curious on people's opinions on this.

I have often heard people on here claim that if Wlad wins his next 5 fights in his deal, including Fury Joshua etc he should be considered as a top 3 heavyweight of all time.

How about now? Losing to Fury who to me, isn't a fantastic heavyweight by any means.

Does this win change much? Or do we except that Wlad has aged overnight?

Fury isn't good, probably will be considered the worst unified champ by far when all is said and done. Personally I don't think it puts a massive dent in wlads legacy because I am rationalising that the only way he lost is that he's gotten old, because fury is so ****.

Then again I can't stand fury so I am biased

It has harmed his legacy big time.

Age had nothing to do with it, Wlad simply couldn't utilize his octopus grabs against Fury which is how he won most of his fights. That **** might work on midgets/bums, not on men his own size though.

How many men are there as big as Fury with his footwork and fluidity?

    Wilder already did.

Guy was going to school on a Football scholarship, had to box at a late age though to earn money for his daughters operation.

If his daughter never had a sickness, the man would be a mediocre football player right now.

Too bad basketball/football is more lucrative.

It does nothing for Wlad's legacy. He's close to 40 and been dominant for a decade. Losing his title at such an advance age for a fighter doesn't damage his legacy in anyway.

It did nothing to his legacy. He has been on top for more then 10 years and there is no way you can stay there forever. He will always be considered as ATG in the current Heavyweight era.
    The torch has been passed.

People obsess over losses way too much in boxing. Going out fighting should get more respect than dodging a challenger into early retirement.

Of course it damaged his legacy a little. It proves he has difficulty with guys who are similar size or bigger than him. And he didn't exactly go down swinging, throwing so little and landing only 18 power punches.

Harmed his legacy big time. It was confirmed that anyone with a bit of movement could take him the distance without anything to show for it.
