What would Lewis have done if he was in Wlad's shoes last night?

Lewis is vastly overrated, he could be very cumbersome in there also. He'd struggle with someone much bigger than him like Fury. Stewards techniques are based on being the bigger, stronger fighter.

Lewis would have uppercutted Fury's head off. He's a much better inside fighter than Wlad, who thinks clinches scores points.

And when Stewards techniques didn't work, Lewis, unlike Wlad would attack and bomb his guy out. Fury ends up like Grant.

Lewis would have knocked him out anytime he wanted

Hopefully Lewis and Wladimir will never seriously be mentioned in the same breath again

I don't think 38 year old Lewis would tbh. Easier said than done.

He'd get frustrated as hell. Since when did Lennox like unorthodox styles and movement? Let alone those qualities in a bigger fighter, which frankly, never existed in his era.

Yep. I was thinking of an uppercut too. He'd have starched him with it.

Look at how Lewis handled Vitali who was pretty similar to Fury in terms of awkwardness and movement. Does anyone here seriously think Fury could take the shots Vitali took that night for long?

Movement isn't even in the same stratosphere. Vitali had to stay in the pocket more because the wear and tear of his kickboxing days limited his mobility.

Fury is much more fluid and mobile. Vitali had great upper body movement, but had to rely on staying in the pocket and leaning back routinely. Fury has much more lateral movement.

No - he doesn't. And, it's not even close.

Lewis was vastly superior to Wlad.

Lewis would not have fought him. He didn't find southpaws and Fury can fight in that stance.

Lewis would have done the same thing he did against Rahman: get knocked out and then decisively win the rematch.

If lewis was in Vlads shoes he would brawl and make it rough. Could fight dirty if needed. I still can't believe that people think lewis would struggle with big tall HWs these types of fighters grant etc were bread and butter for Lewis early KOs all the way .

    These types of fighters?

There's never been a man as big with the movement Fury has.
