More or less. He retired for 2½ years after the competitive loss to Golovkin. He returned in a pathetic spectacle on a low-rent ($10) internet PPV against losing-record trial-horse Rahman Yusubov and got a gift decision in a 6-rounder, looking terrible (read 'em and weep here: http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=495010). I had it a draw, and was being generous toward & rooting for Ouma. Yusubov probably deserved the nod. Since then Ouma has taken another 2 years off, before this quiet return today. :conf
Now midnight in Saint Petersburg. I'm guessing this is over, and have given up efforts to attempt to watch it. Strangely, NO updates anywhere online, in any language. I couldn't even find whether or not there was a Russian television outlet for it.
The latest information anywhere is that both weighed in yesterday (Selivanov at 71.3kg, Ouma 73kg) and the card was supposed to begin today at 5pm local time in Saint Pete...eight hours ago.
He never tried anything fruity. :nono Kid just loves getting high. :yep ...but they'll chop your hands off for that over there, as well. :scaredas: Maybe if he gets popped for possession he can dial up newly minted Russian citizen RJJ for a return favor (he name-checked Jones once as his favorite boxer in an interview)
IN FACT - Kassim was supposed to appear in court in August for cocaine possession charges. His team informed the authorities "sorry, we don't know his whereabouts. Uganda, we think? :conf" I guess that explains why his comeback is taking place all the way over yonder. :yep :-(
He likes getting high.....and that brings out the fruity in him.:yep Roy is a Russian citizen now, they've probably already indoctrinated him, he's probably a full blown Manchurian Candidate by now, he'll give The Dream no quarter.:nono
Pretty much what I feared, given his showing versus Yusubov. This doesn't mean Selivanov is necessarily any good, but losing to Ouma would certainly indicate how bad he was (and how padded his zero).
